Bishop Arts Block Party and Classic Car Show

Dear Classic Car Owner:

We look forward to seeing you at the 5rd Annual Bishop Arts Classic Car Show on May 10, 2008!

The car show runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:30a.m.  We do not have pre-registration of cars per se.  But because response has been so strong, we have decided to put registration forms in the hands of car owners early so that you can arrive at the registration table with your form already filled-out.  At that time, you’ll pay your fee, be assigned a number, receive your awards ballot, and be directed to a parking spot.  Please do not return your registration form early.  I encourage you to review the “Car Owner Guidelines” downloadable at our website at http://www.bishopartsdistrict.com/Events.htm.

Remember that the car show is just the first stage in an half-day block party and all day bazaar.  We invite you to stay for more of the scheduled events, which are listed on the website link above.  Your classic car may remain legally parked for display after 3 p.m., for there will be patrolled parking areas away from crowds.

Here are some directions for finding the Bishop Arts District, which is located two miles southwest of downtown Dallas: 

From the north, take I-35E South from downtown toward Waco.  Soon after crossing the Trinity River, exit right (west) on TWELFTH STREET.  Follow 12th St. to Bishop Avenue, and turn Right on then go till you see registration table at 8th and Bishop in the Bishop Arts District. 

From the south, take I-35E toward downtown.  Soon after passing the ILLINOIS exit take ZANGS STREET exit, follow the ramp to the left then proceed to stop sign and turn right on ZANGS and get in left lane and turn left on 12th proceed (west) to Bishop turn right on Bishop then look for the registration table at 8th and Bishop.  From the east, take I-30 toward Ft. Worth.  Soon after passing downtown, exit left (south) on Sylvan Ave. (at the main post office).  From Sylvan, turn left (east) on Davis St. to ADAMS STREET turn right the turn left on 8th street you will see registration table at 8th and Bishop Avenue.  From the west, take I-30 toward Dallas, and exit right (south) on Hampton Road.  >From Hampton, turn left (east) on Davis St. to ADAMS Street turn right then turn left on 8th Street registration table will be at 8th and Bishop Avenue,  Bishop Arts District.
